LYNX
The founder of the business was a golf devotee who lived opposite the Mudgee Golf Course. He wanted to call his business Links (as in golf links) but that name was already taken so he settled for Lynx instead.
PRINTING
This is what we do and what we charge you for - offset and digital printing, design and layout necessary for new or modified work, and most types of finishing processes.
SERVICE
This is what we provide, and it’s free. We aim to give our customers what they require (and they don’t always know what that is when they first contact us), a good quality product at a reasonable and fair price, when they need it, and with friendly and personal advice and attention – which all adds up to the service on which this business has been built. In fact this has been our only form of advertising for over 50 years - the good will and recommendation of our customers.
What do we do?
Lynx Printing Service specialises in forms printing, usually on carbonless paper, which accounts for 80% of its business and provides a reliable service to the mining industry, councils, and other local and regional businesses.
Of course, other types of work, personal stationery, business cards, invitations, colour brochures, tags, flyers etc. are also undertaken.
David has been the proprietor since 1969. Although originally a sea-going marine engineer from the north of England his move to Mudgee necessitated a change of occupation and now, some 50+ years later, Lynx Printing has become one of the oldest businesses in Mudgee.
The continual, though modest, up-dating of equipment and technology has made Lynx an efficient operation. With fewer staff than 50 years ago the output has increased over 2000%!
